For this year (2021) our team planned to create a fun project for Halloween. We organized a giveaway shoot for models and makeup artist. An instagram story was added on our account , inviting models and artist to take part in a new project with us and it was so amazing to know that so many people responded to be a part of it. But we had to go for the best three, as there were three different shoots for this series .
We spent a week planning for the best locations and buying the perfect and beautiful props for each look.
And then came the shoot week:
LOOK-1: GRIM REAPER COUPLE....The Spectre of Death
For our first look we did a couple photoshoot and this maybe one of the first couple photoshoot on our page. We created a grim reaper couple dressed up in formals, roaming around in a forest.
We wanted a forest like look of atmosphere for this look and that's why we choose Kamla Nehru Ridge, which is the closest and perfect place to a forest and horror vibes in New Delhi. Since professional shoots were allowed there we didn't see a problem going in. Maybe it was the makeup or we don't know honestly what it was but the guards didn't allowed us going in there and we were losing precious time since we already came at 4 in the evening and they made us wait for an hour.
We were almost going to give up , one of us found a short gate and decided to climb up and enter...it was the craziest thing i think we ever did for a photoshoot because if we get caught ..lets just say that won't be good and the place wasn't the safest too ( p.s with a lot of monkeys all around ).
But we did it and the amazing results are in here!
LOOK-2: MALEFICENT.....Mistress of Evil
Second look was the one which brought the most craftiest skills out of us. Creating the costume for this look was a hell of a hard work but when you work with a team it all becomes fun eventually.
We did a lot of hacks to recreate this look which i will reveal down as you read further :)
First of all the trickiest one was to create a headgear for this look, for which we used a lot of foil paper and black tapes to create it.
And obviously Maleficent without her magnificent wand is always incomplete. So for this we used one of our Tripod stick and wrap it up with a newspaper and a green plastic ball stuck on top of it and then black paint it...and there you go you got a wand!
For the cape we tried to arrange from a costume store but there was no where to find a perfect long black cape.. it just clicked me to use one of our black backdrop as a cape (though it got ruined , but worth it!)
And that is how our perfect maleficent came to life...

LOOK-3: CORPSE BRIDE
The final look of this series....and to be honest my personal favourite. Corpse bride was one of my favourite halloween movie of all time and this look was the one i was fixed about from the start when i had the idea of creating a halloween series.
The most difficult part of creating this look would be the outfit because to be honest its not easy to find a beautiful western bridal dress in delhi and that too in blue color. We searched all over almost in every store around the town and then i came across the perfect one on urbanic but it was too late to order since they take so long for delivery and the shoot was just a few days ahead.
But don't know what magic happened to urbanic's delivery service and the dress arrived just in time for the shoot, we arranged all the perfect props like a blue rose tiara, bouquet of blue flowers , a blue veil which was actually a white dupatta dyed blue.
A perfect end......
