For this year (2021) our team planned to create a fun project for Halloween. We organized a giveaway shoot for models and makeup artist. An instagram story was added on our account , inviting models and artist to take part in a new project with us and it was so amazing to know that so many people responded to be a part of it. But we had to go for the best three, as there were three different shoots for this series .
We spent a week planning for the best locations and buying the perfect and beautiful props for each look.
And then came the shoot week:
Second look was the one which brought the most craftiest skills out of us. Creating the costume for this look was a hell of a hard work but when you work with a team it all becomes fun eventually.
We did a lot of hacks to recreate this look which i will reveal down as you read further :)
First of all the trickiest one was to create a headgear for this look, for which we used a lot of foil paper and black tapes to create it.
And obviously Maleficent without her magnificent wand is always incomplete. So for this we used one of our Tripod stick and wrap it up with a newspaper and a green plastic ball stuck on top of it and then black paint it...and there you go you got a wand!
For the cape we tried to arrange from a costume store but there was no where to find a perfect long black cape.. it just clicked me to use one of our black backdrop as a cape (though it got ruined , but worth it!)
And that is how our perfect maleficent came to life...
